White Wines

VIOGNIER RESERVE: These vines have produced rich, aromatic wine for 15 years. Made by award-winning winemaker Mark Friszolowski, this Viognier has hints of white peach, honeydew melon and ripe cantaloupe. Abundantly floral, bursting with aromas of honeysuckle and gardenias. An incredible acid balance allows some limestone notes to dance on the finish.

ROUSSANNE: Though little known in America, this wine is the star of Southern Rhône whites. The current vintage was barrel-fermented. Taste the wine’s pear and honey flavors, delight in its luxurious mouth feel, and enjoy its long silky finish.

SECOND LEAF RESERVE: The bouquet exudes intense aromas of Viognier’s peach and apricot in a marriage with Roussanne’s tropical melons, honey and oil of orange. It has an unusually long, nutmeg spice finish. It will bring out the best in rich seafood and shellfish dishes and with spicier fare like Thai dishes.

SYRAH: This Syrah has been called "a true, Old World style" wine.
It explodes with aromas of black currants and plums, with hints of leather and incense; characteristically smoky and meaty.

PETITE SIRAH: Wild berry notes followed by cinnamon and crushed plum delight the initial palette. Rich raspberry jam and mouth filling red and black berry compote dominate the middle. White pepper, dusty minerality, and a long luscious finish will carry you away.

GRENACHE: Elegant, reserved and silky, this complex Grenache traces its heritage back to France’s Southern Rhône wine country where it is the primary grape for Châteauneuf du Pape wines. It boasts aromas of black raspberry, plum and ripe cherry, with soft hints of kirsch and black pepper. Pair it with your favorite steak, pork chops, grilled chicken or rich pasta.

TRIOMPHE: This marvelous blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah and Roussanne exhibits aromas of red cranberry, crushed plum, exotic floral notes and smoky bacon.  A profusion of cinnamon and allspice is followed by a cornucopia of Provençal spices: lavender, sage and savory.

GPS: Stands for the blend: Grenache, Petite Sirah and Syrah. Emblematic of Côte de Rhône blends that are truly luxurious, GPS highlights the flavors of candied fruit, raspberry and kirsch from Grenache, black cherry and cassis from Petite Sirah, and notes of darker fruits and smokiness of Syrah. Enjoy with grilled meats or aged hard cheeses.

SYRAH RESERVE: This wine was produced from vines originally brought to America in 1990 from Château de Beaucastel estate in Southern France. These grapes were handpicked, vinified separately and aged in French oak barrels for three years. This reserve has the bold aromas of smoky bacon, blackberry and ripe plum. Pair it with an elegant dinner. For serious wine lovers (and those who aspire).

ESTELLE: Estelle, named in honor of my grandmother, is made from Viognier grapes with aromas of ripe apricot, papaya and passion fruit. The fruitiness is intertwined with a delicate blend of clove, cinnamon and coriander.
It is an excellent complement to your favorite dessert or cheese, or match it with dark chocolate or Crème Brûlée.

RHAPSODY: A rich, robust port-style wine pressed from 2011 Petite Sirah grapes and fortified with fine brandy. Drink now by all means, or wait as many years as you like. Picture Rhapsody as a by-the-fireside wine that pairs traditionally with soft cheese—especially Stilton—or with berry-topped pastries.
