INDYweek Blog Praises JLV Viognier
4/9/2012- Writing in her column/blog Blessed is the Pour, Amber Nimocks makes the case for retailers and restaurants to include North Carolina wines in their inventory. She tasted the 2009 JLV Viognier at Sixth & Vine Restaurant in Winston-Salem recently, and praised the wine's "bright flavors of green apple and melon, and a light, soft finish that seemed to disappear like pixie dust from the palate."
She later compared it to a 2010 Domaine Massiac from France and a Hugh Hamilton McLaren Vale Aussie viognier. The French edged us out, but we beat the Aussies.
A really thoughtful piece, Nimocks' article is a must read for NC wine enthusiasts. You can find it here.
