Junius Lindsay Vineyard (JLV) boasts North Carolina’s only open air tasting room, offering breathtaking views of the vineyard & surrounding countryside. It’s the perfect place for sampling our nationally acclaimed wines or enjoying a bottle with friends. In the colder months, our tasting room is enclosed by vinyl curtains and heated for comfort. Guests are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the wine and beauty of the vineyard.

Over 100 Years of History
Junius Lindsay Vineyard is named for owner & grower Michael Zimmerman’s grandfather, Junius Lindsay Zimmerman (left), who started the Zimmerman farm in 1896. He farmed the land until age 90, when it was passed down through each successive generation.
After a career in the Foreign Service, Micheal Zimmerman returned to the family homestead with a dream of transforming the century old Zimmerman farm into a vineyard that would produce fine, old world French style wines. Now a third generation farmer, Zimmerman welcomes guests to his vineyard to share his passion for fine wine, commitment to quality, and love of the local land.
